Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a form of therapy that helps individuals who have recently been diagnosed with a new physical or mental illness gain the skills to regain their everyday life functioning.  For ADHD, an occupational therapist is able to help an individual improve skills including, organization, physical coordination, the ability to complete tasks/activities in a timely manner, and control their levels of hyperactivity.  Occupational therapy provides services that address sensory processing difficulties and help the individual learn to adapt to the environment and different activities.
